What a week! I think that all the participants agree. From zero to four finished bodies in six days and tomorrow the necks will be fitted and the fretboards glued. Our store have also been filled with customers and friends. And to top an already hectic week we also got four new orders for guitars, sold one finished guitar, three Tanglewood amps and some strings!
The four new guitarbuilders has now become good friends and they even share the smallest workbench. As you might have seen on the previous pictures we also this year have a female student. Annika Dronge, from New York but are now living in Gothenburg. Her heritage his one of a kind. Her father is Mark Dronge, owner of DR strings and his father started the guitar company Guild. Annikas mother is the daughter of Herman Levin! And today her uncle Göran Levin stopped by for a visit. Göran was the last owner of the Levin company. I am very happy that he stopped by. When I grew up my father owned a Levin jazz guitar which I learned to play on. So when Göran came I was very happy that he wanted to be on a picture with me and the guitar.
After a week like this I am very satisfied that I, 30 year ago, decided to stick with guitarbuilding. Michael
