The fourth day of guitarbuilding

Today the class worked hard to get the bodies glued together. It is a lot of measuring, cutting, routing and checking over and over again. The bracing have to have full contact with the sides. We also had time to cut the slots for the frets and all did get a chance at the saw. Even if it is very nice summer weather outside we only take short brakes and all seems to be totally into building. I have not mention what kind of models they are building. Two are building dreadnoughts and two are building 000. Back and sides are east-indian rosewood and the tops are sitka spruce. I do not think the participants realise how good these guitars are going to both sounds and looks. Tomorrow they will have the body to work with. It is time to route out for the bindings, bend the bindings and then fit and glue them in place. So it will for sure be a full day. Michael
